This place was so fire the food was so good. I honestly don't know how anyone could rate this below 5 stars.
I LOVE PHO!!! In D.C. for a work conference and walked down the street for dinner by myself. This pho spot is perfect for that, the service was great even though it's intended to be hands-off. You do have to order online through a QR code but that was no big deal. The spring rolls were delicious! The pho broth was also delicious but the start of the show was the tofu. I wish my pho spot back home served their tofu like this - it was amazing.
I really enjoyed the taste of the broth and thought that it came out. Probably the hottest I've ever had. I do appreciate the order and pay for everything and be done, but I feel like I wanted some dessert and if they had that where I could see it readily available I would've ordered it. The staff were super attentive to all of my Needs especially coming around every minute or so to fill up my water. I will definitely be coming here again and I highly recommend this place. My total price for about $.20 shy of $20.
What a surprise to have this Pho place in Navy Yard! I've been coming to DC for work on a yearly basis and stay nearby, so it's great to have a pho place within walking distance. I was craving pho and didn't want to take the subway north to grab pho from other restaurants. Initially, I tried calling - no answer and it said that the phone number wasn't taking calls. Then I tried googling the restaurant to place an order. The toast website that popped up first also wasn't accepting orders. I ended up deciding to do a hail mary and walk the five minutes. It's a little bit easy to miss because it's small/narrow. The QR code at the restaurant worked, but the servers had to note internally that it was a takeout. The menu doesn't have a lot of variety but I got the chicken pho with dark meat. There was very limited staff - 2 waiters and 1 chef? And this was on a Thursday night when the restaurant was 3/4 full. I ended up waiting a bit longer than I anticipated. Aside from the wait, the food was surprisingly good. Yes, I had low expectations because there wasn't a number in the restaurant name and the technological glitches I had earlier. The soup was warming and full of flavor. Noodles tender and the meat was not dry. Overall, a pretty good meal for a restaurant that is a short walk away. Staff was also nice and did their best to speed things up.
These guys are doing pho right. I'm new to DC and only out here for a few months on work, and man do these guys make me feel welcome. Very inviting with delicious food. It's a bit pricey I'm my opinion but it seems like that's just how the Navy yard area is in general. Get the steak and brisket pho, and you won't be disappointed.
